Set the default search index

PUT 
/pipelines/:pipeline_id/search-indexers/:indexer_id/default

Makes a ready search index the default index of its kind: a vector index becomes the default vector index, and a full-text or BM25 index becomes the default text index. Searches and agent placeholders that name no index use the new default from the next request. The previous default stays in the pipeline and can then be deleted. The request has no body.

Permissions. Read and write on the pipeline.

The index is the default of its kind. The body is the pipeline, with the index's identifier in default_vector_embedding_index_id or default_text_search_index_id.

401

The authentication headers are missing or invalid, or the API key is inactive or expired. Errors lists the messages.

404

No pipeline with this identifier exists or the key lacks write permission on the pipeline (Pipeline with id <id> not found), or the pipeline has no search index with this identifier (Search Indexer with id <id> not found).

409

The index is building or failed (Conflict, with Search indexer <id> is not ready and cannot be the pipeline's default in details.error).
